The Exerpeutic 100XL HC Magnetic Resistance Treadmill is a manual treadmill equipped with a wide and varying plethora of features all of which comes at a price of Check Price - $$. The machine boasts itself as being stocked with a running belt that is longer than the one found in most other treadmills. It also supports 325 pounds of weight and practically challenges consumers to punish it as much as they can. While such claims are admirable and display that the product is confident in itself, we’ve still managed to take a look at the Exerpeutic 100XL model to try and determine just how much it holds to its own claims.
The treadmill has dimensions that calculate at 50 inches in length, 29 inches in width, and 50 inches in height. It comes with a space saving folding design making it an ideal machine for small rooms. Built in transport machines at the base allow you to transport the machine from one room to another after you are done exercising. Once you have used it, you can fold it up and slide it under your bed or behind a door. This will ensure you won’t have to worry about the treadmill occupying space. When folded, the machine measures at 35 x 29 x 61 inches. It also has a running surface of 45 inches in length and 16 inches in width making it broad enough to accommodate a larger running action.
The Exerpeutic 100XL HC Magnetic Resistance Treadmill comes with a bright LCD display that tracks your speed, distance covered, total time, calories burned, and pulse rate indicators to help you monitor your workout progress. The handrails are extra-long and provide you a better, stronger grip for maximum balance and a steady, consistent workout. They are also equipped with heart pulse pads that sense your pulse and then tracks the reading for you on the display.
The treadmill is steel constructed and is available in stylish dark gray color which is a combination that’ll look pretty smooth and sophisticated in your room or wherever else you’d like to place it. It doesn’t come with any motor but it does have eight levels ‘Pacer Control’ Magnetic Tension, which is a feature where the flywheels attached to the machine’s belt provide magnetic resistance to increase the intensity of your work out. 6 inch long Twin Flywheels assure that the belt will run smoothly and consistently, allowing you to work your way to your ideal fitness body. The Exerpeutic 100XL HC Magnetic Resistance Treadmill also boasts an extended running belt which is longer and wider than most other treadmills and practically provides the experience of an electric treadmill. But on closer inspection of that claim, we were a little disappointed to know that the running belt is still too short for any person who is taller than 6 feet in height would find it practically impossible for running, or taking longer strides. If you’re tall or running is your primary concern for a home treadmill then you’re advised to do a little research before you buy the Exerpeutic 100XL model.
The high selling point of this treadmill however is its three manually adjustable incline options. You can get off the treadmill any time you like and manually adjust the incline to 8 degrees, 10 degrees, and 13 degrees. This feature promises variety to your workouts and there will be days where you’ll either feel like you need a tame workout, while at other times you’ll feel like undertaking rigorous ones. In that aspect, the Exerpeutic 100XL will flex to your whims. Lastly, the machine itself weighs 73 pounds and can support weights for up to 325 pounds which is really very impressive because at least every other treadmill that costs less has maximum weight capacity of weight between 220 to 250 pounds. In that department, the Exerpeutic shines as well.
While the pricier aspect of the machine is a little off-putting to those wanting an affordable manual treadmill in their homes, the Exerpeutic 100XL HC Magnetic Resistance Treadmill rises up in almost every other department. It doesn’t feel cheap and has a high end quality which assures that the treadmill is a good investment for your home. It will also last long in terms of longevity. You won’t find many other treadmills that also provide three incline options as well as some higher end features such as pulse pads and magnetic resistances. For these features alone, the Exerpeutic 100XL is a great machine to adorn your house with.
